Job opportunity: Real Estate Photographer

South West Real Estate Photography is a leading supplier to the real estate industry, established since 2009. We are continuing to grow and innovate and provide real estate agents with high-end creative marketing. We are currently hiring a contract real estate photographer.

We have an immediate opening for a real estate photographer to photograph homes and other premises. You should be smart, an organiser, a fast learner, a positive person and a great communicator able to find creative solutions while being polite, polished, professional and discreet. You will work independently photographing homes of our seller clients and doing some portrait photography.

Flexible schedules are necessary and daytime shoots are typical (some twilight hours shoots necessary but are not the norm).

Based in Hamilton the successful candidate would be required to cover holidays which would require travelling to Warrnambool and Portland.

Key responsibilities and duties:

The successful applicant will be required to take photos, produce floor plans and drone work of homes, business, hotels, motels and accommodation properties. They must be:

Photography:

  • Help clients stage their homes to achieve the best visual results

  • Take photo shoots of exterior and interior space of residences – common room, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc, and show the flow of the space

  • Meet agent/clients or work on your own on site and perform photo session

  • Upload images to our Dropbox, the same day of the shoot

  • Ensure good photo composition, angles and positioning of the space taken

  • If homeowner is not home stage home yourself to achieve the best results and replace all items from original location

  • No postproduction is required

Extensive training will be provided.

Floor plans:

  • Measuring up and drawing up floor plan

  • Scan of photograph of completed floor plans to CAD drawers for processing

  Training will be provided.

Drone:

  • Drone photography and film

  • Draw on boarders

  • Upload to Dropbox for processing

Training will be provided.

Work experience and skills:

  • Computer skills

  • Photography experience, or a least demonstrate passion and desire for photography and real estate

  • General administration skills

Selection criteria:

This position will be given to the right person but not necessarily the person with the most experience. The successful applicant must have a good knowledge about photography and cameras, however full training will be provided. In this job, personality is very important and the successful applicant must relate well with clients from all walks of life.
